The Iowa Senate is expected to vote on the elimination of income tax on military pensions today and District 10 Senator Jake Chapman of Adel says he’s looking forward to being part of something that’s long overdue.

“These are folks that have sacrificed so much for our county and we’re one of a number of states to actually tax those military pensions” says Chapman.

The Republican Senator says he doesn’t expect much debate about the topic.

“I’m excited about that.  I think it’s got overwhelmingly bipartisan support and I expect that to pass Monday.”
