The Perry School District has earned multiple awards for its production of “Mamma Mia” earlier this year. 

The recent announcement of the Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards brought honors for a Distinguished Scene for “S.O.S.” as well as a Special Recognition for Performance in a Principal Role for Ainsley Marburger in her role as “Donna Sheridan.” 

The Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards take place all year long and is an education initiative of Des Moines Performing Arts. This year Iowa PBS will be broadcasting an end of the year awards showcase at 8:30 p.m. July 9th.
