
Tuesday, May 25th
1:46am: A deputy requested assistance from a Jefferson officer in responding to 1104 Lincoln Street in Scranton. A 911 call had come from the residence and dispatch could hear an argument in the background, but no one would speak to her. The officer arrived and made contact with a subject in the residence. The officer determined all was fine at the residence and no assistance was needed there.
4:04am: A deputy requested the officers assistance back at 1104 Lincoln Street in Scranton for a Domestic Situation occurring there. The officer arrived and assisted the deputies when they arrived. Any and all charges will be handled by the deputy.
6:17am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 300 Block of North Chestnut Street.
6:41am: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of North Cedar Street.
3:47pm: An officer assisted Jefferson Fire with a reported fire in an attic at 603 Rushview Drive. The small fire was controlled by a firefighter on scene before the trucks arrived. Minimal damage had occurred.
4:04pm: Dave Morlan reported an Open Door at 600 West Lincoln Way Street. The officer arrived and found the property to be fine. The door latch was not working, and the door had blown open. The officer secured the door.
4:23pm: An officer investigated an accident in the 100 Block of North Locust Street. A 2018 Dodge Caravan, owned and operated by Chelse Sanderson of Jefferson, was southbound in the 100 Block of North Locust Street. Sanderson struck a vehicle parked in the angle parking near the Redemption Center. The 2019 Ford Fusion was owned by Janie Scheuermann of Jefferson. The Scheuermann vehicle was pushed into a vehicle parked beside it from the impact of Sanderson’s vehicle. The second parked vehicle was a 1990 Dodge Dakota, also owned by Janie Scheuermann. Halterman’s vehicle had a reported $2000.00 in damages. Scheuermann’s Ford Fusion had a reported $8000.00 in damages and her Dakota had a reported $1000.00 in damage. Sanderson was cited for, “Fail to Maintain Control.”
9:59pm: Brett Cranston reported an Audible Alarm sounding at Dollar General, located at 104 North Locust Street. The officer found the business to be secure and contacted a key holder to reset the alarm.

2:58pm: Jessamae Strennen reported a female had approached the vehicle and assaulted a juvenile male through the window. Strennen and a group of friends had located the vehicle responsible at 1003 West Wall Street. They were taking photos of the vehicle’s registration plate to report the assault to law enforcement when subjects approached and threw rocks at them. They left the area and came to the LEC. The officer is investigating the reported event.
