The Perry Chamber of Commerce was presented with a check yesterday from a local business for the Fourth of July Fireworks Drive.

While the fundraising efforts finished for the fireworks drive between the Big Boom Bracket Battle, Radio Pie Auction and Grocery Bill Roundup Family Credit Union in Perry continued to raise funds. Between individual donations and money from the credit union, $917 was raised towards the Fourth of July celebration.

To celebrate in the fundraising efforts the branch manager Brian Thammathay was give a pie in the face yesterday as a result of the fundraising efforts. The Perry Chamber has already surpassed the initial goal of $12,500 for the fireworks drive for the year and will have a bigger fireworks show this year along with money saved for next year.
