ADM Tiger softball has played in one of the most difficult and competitive conferences all season long in the Raccoon River Conference, and that was validated during the 4A softball tournament as five of the ten teams in the conference were able to advance to the state softball tournament. ADM, Winterset, North Polk, Carlisle, and Boone are the five representatives for the conference, with all being tough outs all season long.
Winterest is the 1 seed in the tournament, ADM the 3 seed, Carlisle 4, Boone 5, and North Polk 7, with Carlisle and Boone meeting each other for the third time this season at state. North Polk will be taking on Western Dubuque in first round action.
ADM and Winterset will both be broadcast on the Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network. Both games will be broadcast on True Country K1079, with Winterset to play at 1 o’clock tomorrow against Oskaloosa and ADM to play at 3:30 against Clear Creek – Amana. It was a banner year for the conference, and will see how it performs with things starting tomorrow in Fort Dodge.
