
The Greene County School Board will meet tomorrow night.
The meeting will begin with two public hearings. The first will be on the projects and programs with the federal Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds. The second hearing will be on selling property to the Greene County Early Learning Center for their new facility project. The Board will then consider approving both items, following the hearings. Next, the Board will consider approving the second reading of board policies regarding the suspension and debarment of vendors and contractor procedure, along with using federal funds in procurement of contracts.
The Board will then consider approving milk and bread bids, along with the list of depositories, appointing the board secretary, treasurer and legal counsel for the upcoming school year. Additionally, the Board will consider approving several handbooks for the 2021-22 school year, including the student, parents, employee, coach and director, and bus driver handbooks. They will also consider approving the middle school renovation project change orders, a 28E agreement and food services contract with New Opportunities Head Start, the sports medicine coverage contract and fundraising requests.
Finally, the Board will discuss the 2022 Iowa Association of School Boards legislative priorities and the meeting will end in a closed session for the superintendent evaluation.
The meeting will take place in person and online at 5:15pm from the boardroom at the middle school.
