As the date for an upcoming festival in Adel is fast approaching, there is an annual competition to pre register for. 

The 7th Annual St. John’s Bags Tournament will be taking place during the Adel Sweet Corn Festival at 11:30 a.m. August 14th at the old Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Middle School, with in-person registration to begin at 10:30 a.m. There are cash prizes of $100 for 1st, $75 for 2nd and $50 for third. 

The funds raised will be used for the St. John’s Knights of Columbus. There is a cost of $30 per team entry and you can pre register by calling the St. John’s Rectory at 515-993-4482 or by emailing saintjc@gmail.com.
