WCV volleyball took part in the AC/GC Invitational over the weekend. Here’s how the Wildcats performed.

Things started out strong for the Wildcats. They took on Perry first in the invitational. They both battled in a best of three matchup. WCV took the first set, 21-17 giving them the 1-0 lead. The Bluejays came roaring back in the second winning 21-16 to even up the series. WCV dominated the third set, 15-3 to get the series win.

WCV would move on take on Colfax-Mingo. The Wildcats took their momentum from the Perry win into this one. They took the first set, 21-19. However the Tigerhawks regrouped and took the second set, 21-12. WCV couldn’t rebound and lost the third set 15-5, giving Colfax-Mingo the win in three sets.

The Wildcats will be back at home on Tuesday to take on Interstate 35 at 7:15pm.
