basketball thru hoopThe ADM girls basketball team will take to the hardwood against conference foe Bondurant-Farrar tonight for its final game of the regular season.

The Tigers fell to the Bluejays 64-38 in a lopsided defeat back on January 17th, and Bondurant-Farrar has continued to play good basketball since.  The Jays are now ranked No. 8 in Class 3-A and have won seven of their past eight ball games.

ADM head coach Brett Watson says a fast start will be important for his Tigers tonight if they want to avenge their loss to the Jays a month ago.

“I’d like to see us come ready to play right away, you know not get down right away.  We want to come at them, attack them a little bit… attack the pressure like we did against Carlisle because if teams want to come out and pressure us, we need to take care of the basketball and hopefully make them pay for it on the other end.”

While it would be nice for ADM to build some momentum toward Saturday’s regional playoff game with a win tonight, Coach Watson says his Tigers will implement a “vanilla” game plan against Bondurant-Farrar this evening because the teams could square off again in less than a week.

“Tonight we’re going to have to be smart.  Some girls are going to get some more playing time than they probably have been before.  We’re not going to show them a whole lot because we want to have some things ready in our back pocket come tournament time if we have the opportunity to play them.”

Tonight’s matchup between the Tigers and Bluejays will conclude a girls tripleheader, with freshman and JV games preceding the varsity contest.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 on K107.
