Once again, Dallas Center – Grimes Mustangs volleyball played in another tournament this past weekend, this time at the Urbandale Invite. Unfortunately, the Mustangs were unable to grab a win they fell to Urbandale two sets to none and Lewis Central two sets to one. The losses drop the Mustangs to 10-17 on the year.

DCG was unable to keep pace against two offenses that can keep high octane rates of kill percentage. The game against Lewis Central was close, with DCG taking the first set but Lewis Central able to rally to take sets two and three and give the Mustangs a tough loss.

Mustang volleyball will return to Little Hawkeye Conference play tomorrow when they take on the Cardinals of Newton, as they will look to return to winning ways as they continue to gear up for postseason play.
