A recent decision by the Dallas County Board of Supervisors made Dallas County a place that supports Second Amendment rights.

At their regular meeting on October 5th, the Board approved Dallas County being a Second Amendment sanctuary. Supervisor Mark Hanson explains the view of the Board is that citizens have the right to bear arms and have the ability to react to circumstances happening around them.

“Law enforcement can’t be everywhere all the time and I think a citizenry that has the ability to protect themselves and protect others is very important and it’s a right that should never be taken away.”

With Dallas County now being a Second Amendment sanctuary it expresses opposing the enactment of any legislation or issuance of an executive order that would infringe on Second Amendment rights and joins 22 other counties in doing so.
