This week is the last full week of Greene County High School sports for 2021 and the schedule is busy. Greene County basketball has three girl/boy doubleheaders and the wrestlers are in action two of three days later in the week.

Basketball is up first when the West Marshall (State Center) teams visit the Rams inside the high school gym in Jefferson for a pair of Heart of Iowa Activities Conference contests. Greene County is coming off their first home games of the season when the girls lost 48-22 and the boys won 71-59 last Friday vs. PCM (Monroe). The Rams continue conference play on Friday night at Perry, then host Kuemper Catholic (Carroll) Saturday afternoon in non-conference play. All games can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.

Greene County wrestlers will go to Saydel (Des Moines) on Thursday for a quadrangular with the Eagles, Nevada, and Interstate 35 (Truro), then it’s onto Carroll High Saturday morning for an invitational tournament.

December for the Rams wraps up on the 21st when Nevada visits Greene County for a girl/boy basketball doubleheader.
