A deputy was dispatched to a one vehicle accident that was reported on 220th Street near J Avenue. George Crouch, 53 of Jefferson was driving his 1994 Geo Metro car westbound on Highway 30 when he may have suffered a possible seizure and drove approximately 300 feet into the north ditch before striking several cedar trees. Crouch was transported to the Greene County Medical Center by Greene County Emergency Medical Services personnel for observation. George Crouch was later released with no significant injuries reported. The vehicle was estimated to be a total loss.

A Greene County Deputy, a Carroll County Deputy and the Coon Rapids Police Department all responded to a reported one vehicle rollover accident that had occurred on A Avenue and 280th Street. Polly Marie Bauer, 45 of Coon Rapids, driving her 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue GX, reported that she was eastbound on 280th Street from Carroll County and failed to make the left hand turn at the T intersection with A Avenue in Greene County. Her vehicle went through the intersection striking a field drive way causing her car to roll five times before coming to rest in a farm field some 218 feet from the intersection. Bauer stated that the accident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. in the morning and she was given a ride home.  Polly Bauer was issued citations for Failure to Maintain Control and Failure to Prove Security against Liability.

A deputy was advised of suspicious vehicle driving erratic on highway 4 north of Churdan. The vehicle was not located upon the deputy’s arrival.

A deputy was asked to check a suspicious vehicle in the 1700 block of 220th Street.

A deputy spoke with the owner of two dogs in Grand Junction about the dogs being on leash when outside the residence.

A deputy checked and impounded a Chevrolet C15 pickup truck on 230th Street near U Avenue that is not currently registered or having proof of insurance. The truck was towed to the impound facility in Jefferson.

Friday, March 7th

A deputy initiated a traffic stop for speeding on 130th Street between R and S Avenues and subsequently arrested Justin Richard Jodoin, 23 of Churdan for Excessive Speed, Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated, 1st Offense and Failure to Maintain Control.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all  defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
