The collegiate indoor track & field season is winding down with conference meets in the coming days. Iowa State University freshman thrower Danielle Hoyle, a 2021 Paton-Churdan graduate is expected to compete in the 20 lbs. weight throw for the Cyclones. The meet is hosted by ISU in Ames at the Lied Student Recreation Center Feb. 25-26.

The Missouri Valley Conference holds its conference indoor meet Feb. 27-28 at Gately Park in Chicago. University of Northern Iowa sophomore Carter Morton, a 2020 Greene County High School grad, will be busy for the Panthers. He was selected by UNI’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee as an Athlete of the Month for January. He’ll compete in the heptathlon, which is seven events. Then, he’s also could compete in the high jump, long jump, and pole vault outside of the heptathlon.
