The DCG girls basketball team needed one win to get to state. The Mustangs were coming to this game on a 13 game win streak. They reached the top of Class 4A and the Little Hawkeye conference. The team in their way was familiar rival, ADM.

DCG jumped out front with a big 14-3 lead after the first quarter. The Mustangs only put up five points in the second, taking a 19-9 lead into halftime. DCG took over in the second half. Thanks to performances like senior Emma Miner. She had 18 points and helped the offense take over. DCG scored 17 points in the third and 20 in the fourth. This would give them the 56-34 win.

DCG will take their 14 game win streak into Des Moines on March 1st. The time and opponent is to be determined.
