Daylight Saving Time officially begins today in Iowa. 

Daylight Saving Time started at 3am. Clocks jump forward one hour to stretch out the days in Iowa. Some electronic devices such as smartphones and tablets should have internal clocks that automatically jump ahead, but other clocks may have to be set manually. 

It is also a good time to remember to change the batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in your home.
