It wasn’t that long ago when Greene County High School went back and forth between Class 3A and 2A when it came to which class size the Rams would be in for the postseason. The latest preliminary numbers from the Iowa High School Athletic Association shows the Rams firmly in 2A, the second smallest of Iowa’s four classes, for 2022. The BEDS Document enrollment figure used for classification purposes has Greene County at 252 students, tying them for 21st largest among the 96 programs in 2A. The largest 48 are in 4A, followed by the next 64 largest in 3A. After the 96 in 2A, the remainder are in 1A, which includes Paton-Churdan.

This is Spring Break week for Greene County and many other school districts around the state, The Greene County girls and boys are set to compete in a third and final indoor meet at the end of the week. A number of Rams will compete indoors at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake on Saturday.
