The Panorama Panthers boys golf team punched its ticket to district competition after performing well in their sectional golf meet earlier this week at the Jewell Golf Course.
The Panthers boys golf team had a good day out on the links as they came in with the third best team score on the day with 343, which was just one stroke off the second place score which was South Hamilton with a team score of 342. The winner of the meet was Kuemper Catholic with a team score of 330.
While a third place team finish was enough to send the Panthers boys golf team on to the district meet it was anchored by an outstanding performance from senior Brice Taylor who took the top overall score at the meet shooting just four over shooting a 76 on the day. Evan Powell also had a good day out on the course as he just finished outside the top five in the number six spot with a score of 82 on the day. The other two scoring golfers were Jared Wasson and Skyler Poldberg who tied for 14th place shooting a 92 on the day.
After performing well at their sectional golf meet the Panthers boys team will get to take part in the district tournament that will be hosted by Keumper Catholic and will take place beginning at 10 a.m. Monday at the Carroll Country Club in Carroll.
Also, the Panthers girls golf team has their regional golf meet today as they will head to Shenandoah for their meet beginning at 10 a.m.
