Both the softball and baseball teams were able to come away with a win last night, as the teams traveled to Madrid to take on the Tigers. The softball team won their game 5-2. Sophomore Ella Sand lead the team in hits, with 3 hits, a batting average of .750, 1 run, 1 run batted in, 2 double base hits, and a single base hit. Junior Kinsey Alt lead in runs batted in with 1. Fellow junior Marissa Hagen lead the team in earned run average and strikeouts, with an ERA of 2, 7 innings pitched, and 4 strikeouts.

The baseball team was coming off a tough string of losses, but was able to beat the Tigers 4-3. Both teams head to Guthrie Center tonight, to take on the AC/GC Chargers. The game will be broadcast on K107.9, so be sure to tune in and listen in.
