A Jefferson man was recently sentenced to jail for a traffic-related incident.
According to court documents, 57-year-old Charles Bradshaw II pled guilty to a serious misdemeanor for eluding and a simple misdemeanor for interference with official acts. He was sentenced to one year in the Greene County Jail on the serious misdemeanor and 30 days in jail for the simple misdemeanor, to be served consecutively.
The charges stemmed from an incident on July 31, 2021. A Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy tried conducting a traffic stop at 3:11am on 220th Street near Falcon Avenue. Bradshaw refused to pull his vehicle over. He then lost control of his vehicle and it went into a ditch. Bradshaw then fled on foot into a cornfield. Later that morning, a deputy found Bradshaw near 310th Street and I Avenue where he was subsequently arrested.
The two jail sentences are to run concurrently with two unrelated cases in Adair County where Bradshaw was sentenced to five years in prison for a Class D Felony conviction of eluding-injury, OWI, drugs in participation of a felony. As per the plea agreement, the other traffic violations were dismissed in the Greene County case.
