Greene County High School volleyball officially begins practice today. Head coach Chris Heisterkamp returns all but one of the key players from the 2021 team that went 16-13 overall, 4-3 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference, and had the first winning season in 10 years.

The Rams will be home six times at Greene County High School in Jefferson this season including Monday, August 29 vs. non-conference opponents Kuemper Catholic (Carroll) and Boone to begin the home portion of the schedule. The Rams host their tournament on Saturday, Oct. 1, and conference matches with Roland-Story (Story City) Sept. 8, South Hamilton (Jewell) Sept. 15, Perry Oct. 4, and Saydel (Des Moines) Oct. 13. The Rams begin the Class 3A postseason on Oct. 17.
