Additional rainfall continues to decrease drought conditions in the Raccoon Valley Radio area.

According to the US Drought Monitor, all of Greene County, except for the southwest corner and all of Guthrie County, except for the northwest corner, is abnormally dry. All of Dallas County, except for the extreme northeast corner, which is in a moderate drought, is abnormally dry. 

According to the National Weather Service, last week Perry saw 1.63 inches of precipitation, Guthrie Center had 1.6 inches and Jefferson reported 0.8 inches of rainfall.
