It was the first year that Dallas Center – Grimes cross country competed in 4A, and they were able to find some nice results in the race on Saturday in Fort Dodge.

On the boys side, Jack Every was able to find a top 30 finish, as he was able to grab a time of 16 minutes 27 seconds, putting up a very nice time to end his junior campaign. AJ Angus was able to finish 79th with a time of 17 minutes 7 seconds. On the girls side, Maddie Stevens competed for the Mustangs, and she was able to find a really good result, finishing 69th with a time of 20 minutes 19 seconds.

DCG was able to put up a really good year with this being the first time that they’ve ran at this classification, and will be returning the majority of their runners for next year, as they will be looking to build upon the 2022 season.
