People can now purchase hunting, fishing or any other licenses from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources for the upcoming 2023 season.
The Iowa DNR offers several options for the different licenses. The cost for a one year fishing or hunting license is $22, a three year fishing license is $62 and a three year hunting special with habitat stamp included is $101. The DNR has an outdoor combo for hunting, fishing and habitat for $55. Dallas County Conservation Officer Dustin Eighmy tells Raccoon Valley Radio a great option to purchase any licenses is on GoOutdoorsIowa application.
“Anyway, the phone option’s been a great option for people, especially if we have a little bit of a hiccup in the field and they’re missing a certain piece of their license. Let’s say habitat fee or something, we can handle that situation right there. It gives that option for them to purchase it right there in front of me and make them all legal in that option. So yeah, it is a great option for us. And technology is improving every day.”
Eighmy reminds folks that their 2022 resident hunting, fishing and any other licenses will expire on January 18th. Fishing and hunting licenses are also available for purchase through the county recorder’s office.
