Guthrie County Relay for Life held a fundraiser Friday night at the Adair-Casey / Guthrie Center versus Panorama basketball games.
The Relay for Life Group had a bake sale and free will donation lasagna dinner from 5-7pm. They also had a Minute of Hope Bucket Pass, where they collected donations from people in the stands during the games, and sold pink items for people who forgot to wear something pink for the Pink Out games.
Fundraiser organizer Kathy Klinge says that Relay for Life was doing the fundraiser to raise money for those fighting cancer, those who have survived it, and those helping individuals to fight it. She adds that just between the bucket pass and lasagna dinner, they collected over $1,000.
