Guthrie County residents that regularly use Iowa Highway 25 will need to take a detour starting Monday.
According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, beginning at 7am on April 3rd, construction crews will begin work to replace worn out pavement on the stretch of Highway 25 north of Interstate 80, and will require a marked detour around the work zone that will send drivers on the interstate, or on to Guthrie County Road F-65/White Pole Road.
As with any other work zone, DOT officials advise motorists to obey posted speed limits inside the work area, along with being aware that any fines are at least double what they would be normally.
