The Perry City Council will meet on Monday.

The Council approved a management agreement with the Iowa DNR for the North Perry Raccoon River Access which states that the city will continue maintaining and managing the property as a public access area for citizens. Then the Council approved a mural painting on the Parks and Recreation shop building south of Warford Street along with authorizing the sale of a target concrete saw for $500 to the City of Adel. Additionally, they approved renewing the “Blue Choice” insurance plan with Wellmark Iowa Governmental Health Care Plan (IGHCP) for City of Perry employees, Group Dental and Vision Insurance renewal with Principal Life Insurance for City of Perry employees and a renewal of Union Mutual Insurance for group term life and long term disability benefits for the City of Perry employees.

In old business, the Council approved entering into certain credit support agreements with lending banks as security for credit facilities for the Nudgers Kerns Managers for financing of their project consisting of remodeling and improving their building located at 1314 2nd Street. They approved the Iowa Economic Development Authority Award of a Community Development Block Grant Housing Upper Story Conversion Award to not exceed $536,467 for the conversion to take place at the property located at 1306 2nd Street. They set a notice for disposal of public property by sale within the City of Perry on May 15th and the fiscal year 2024 capitals.
