Today is the high school graduation ceremonies for both Greene County and Paton-Churdan.

For Greene County High School Principal Brian Phillips he says this year’s senior class is special for him because the over 80 students were together with him when he started four years ago in the district.

He’s also excited to start new traditions next school year as one unified district as Greene County Community Schools and this being the last year as Jefferson-Scranton and East Greene School districts.

Greene County’s ceremony will be in the middle school gymnasium in Jefferson and Paton-Churdan’s commencement will be in their gymnasium in Churdan with both to begin at 2pm on Sunday, May 25th.

The public is welcomed to attend either ceremony.
