The 2023 baseball season brought a lot of success for Dallas Center-Grimes.

The Mustangs completed the year with a (30-7) record and went on their longest win streak at 12 before they lost their final game to Dowling Catholic. They held down home field advantage with a (12-3) while taking care of business on the road with a (12-3) record. Versus teams above .500 they went (20-4) As a team they hit an average of .304 and the Mustang pitching staff’s Earned Run Average ended at 2.54. Dallas Center-Grimes scored an average of just over seven runs per game while playing excellent defense only committing 40 errors with a fielding percentage at 92-percent. They won the Little Hawkeye Conference by two games with a record of (18-3) and beat Waukee Northwest to qualify for state for the first time since 2020.

The Mustangs will graduate five seniors including Clayton Campidilli, Dalton Bergthold, Dylan Jansen, Drake Fetters and Trevor Hamil.
