Wednesday, July 19th

2:34am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical call in the 1200 Block of Southfield Drive.

8:16am: Marlene Van Sickler reported a neighbor spraying weed killer on her property at 800 South Chestnut Street.

12:50pm: A caller advised of a dog on a chain, without water in the 100 Block of North Cedar Street. The officer spoke to a subject at the residence, who took the animal inside.

1:59pm: Dawna Helms reported receiving a Scam E-Mail. The e-mail advised she was late on a payment for her American Express Card. Helms called the number given in the e-mail to advise them that she does not have an American Express Card. The subject attempted to have Helms log into her on-line banking. She ended the call, recognizing it as a scam. She did not give any information and did not incur a loss.

3:56pm: A caller reported a very young female walking near Washington and Vine Streets. They advised the child was alone and appeared to be lost. The officer did not locate the youngster.

6:37pm: Kyle Cuddy spoke to an officer in connection to a Civil Issue occurring at 504 South Olive Street.

6:40pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 401 East Central Ave. The building was secure.

6:59pm: While on patrol, an officer spotted a subject with outstanding arrest warrants at 502 South Cedar Street. The subject took off running from the residence and the officer pursued. After a short foot chase, the officer caught the subject in the 500 Block of South Olive Street. The officer arrested Tyler James Armstrong, 38, of Jefferson. Armstrong had an outstanding Arrest warrant for, “Fail to Appear.”

7:23pm: A caller reported Loud Music in the 500 Block of East Monroe Street. The officer checked the area, but did not hear anything.

9:24pm: A Traffic Stop near Elm and Head Streets resulted in Carlos Gonzales of Fort Dodge being cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”

11:01pm: A caller reported an unattended fire pit in the 500 Block of South Oak Street.
