The Perry School Board met on Monday.
The Board approved making band and choir classes a full one credit for each semester
each semester and to be included in a student’s grade point average. Currently these classes are .5 credit classes and not included in GPA. The rationale for the proposal is these classes now meet every day, they include enhanced academic standards.
They approved the termination of the 28e Agreement between the Perry Community School District and the St. Patrick’s Gingerbread House for the 2024-2025 school year. This approval would end St. Patrick’s Catholic Schools responsibility for the classrooms that are used for Perry’s Preschool Program next year.
The Council also approved the revisions to a memorandum of understanding for the 2023-2024 stipend for licensed bus drivers to make $4,000 and administrative assistants will make up to $1,000 depending on their contact in the form of a stipend. They then approved the recommendation for the and 2023 legislative resolutions and a contract with Metro Learning for one student as presented.
