A shopping event coming up gives the community extra time to shop for fall items at Perry Businesses.

The Perry Chamber of Commerce will have many local businesses stay open after their regular business hours from 4 to 7pm for their “Fall Sip and Shop,” on Friday. Chamber Director Lynsi Passuti says there will be a wide variety of stores open that sell fall apparel, gifts and decor. 

“It seems like we’re always talking about a sip and shop, but it’s just an extra way to get out and see what’s new. There’s always something new at these businesses, whether it’s apparel and home decor. But the biggest thing for me is that it’s extended shopping hours and it’s something that’s all, you know, coordinated with the merchants group to work together and promote shopping downtown and around town. So it’s really just a special time to get out.”

Additionally, there will be free refreshments and special in-store offerings depending on the location.
