
Tuesday, October 3rd
7:29am: Extra patrol was requested in the 500 Block of Stanford Street. A Suspicious Vehicle had been spotted in the area.
10:07am: Teresa Johnson requested assistance with a Civil Property Exchange at 804 West Harrison Street.
2:13pm: A caller advised of hearing possible gunshots in the 700 Block of North Elm Street. The officer did not locate anything in the area.
6:06pm: Mellissa Fredrick reported a very young boy walking alone in the area of the 300 Block of North Elm Street. The officer checked the area and learned the child’s parent had arrived and took him home.
6:13pm: Officers were requested at 407 North Olive Street for an out-of-control teenager. The officers arrived and began to mediate between the mother and child. The juvenile was taken by the officer to ER for a Medical Evaluation.
10:09pm: Brandon Mitchell requested officers at 607 West Monroe Street. He reported his roommates were smoking marijuana. The officers arrived and could smell the odor of marijuana outside of the residence. All parties agreed and signed a Permission to Search Form. A deputy arrived to assist the officers with the search. Numerous items of paraphernalia and marijuana were seized for testing. Charges are pending lab results. James Pena, 25 of Jefferson was arrested on an active Dallas County Arrest Warrant for, “Fail to Appear on Traffic Charge.”
Wednesday, October 4th
7:22am: Murphy Meats reported possible Criminal Mischief at 210 West Washington Street. Outside gates had been closed overnight. Nothing appeared to be damaged. Extra Night Patrol was offered by the officer.
7:52am: Jody Orchard reported an Open Door at 1210 South Elm Street. The officer did not locate anything inside which appeared to be messed with and closed the door.
11:09am: Brandon Mitchell requested an officer at 607 West Monroe Street for a Civil Property Issue with a roommate. The officer arrived and Mitchell provided the property to the roommate.
2:44pm: Mike Jacquard spoke with an officer about Face Book posts about his juvenile son. The officer advised that nothing criminal had occurred.
6:18pm: Wendy Kozal reported catching two Stray Dogs at 600 South Maple Street. She met the officer at the Animal Holding Facility, where the officer placed the dogs inside.
10:11pm: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of South Grimmell Road.
11:31pm: The Wild Rose casino reported an Intoxicated Driver leaving 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer later located the reported vehicle parked at a local motel.
********** After reviewing video provided by Hy Vee, Michelle Cook, 24 of Jefferson has a requested Arrest Warrant for, “Theft 5th Degree – Simple.” The video clearly showed her not scanning items at the Self Check out Lane at the store.
