With the days getting shorter that means an important time change is coming up.

Daylight Saving Time will be ending this Sunday at 2am. Any device or clock that is not automatic will need to be set back one hour following the time change. Jefferson Fire Chief Jack Williams reminds everyone that whenever Daylight Saving Time ends or begins, those are two easy times of the year to change out the batteries in your home’s smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. He says it’s an easy way to make sure those detectors always have fresh batteries.
