Everyone is invited to the Sierra Community Theatre in Jefferson this week for free showings of “The Wizard of Oz”.

Greene County Chamber Director Chris Henning talks about the classic movie and how it plays a part of this year’s Bell Tower Festival theme.

“70th anniversary of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ movie, and you know ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and there’s no place like home and all of those things tying into Emerald County and our theme.”

It will be on Friday at 3pm and Saturday and Sunday at 4:30pm.

The free showings are sponsored by Jefferson Telecom of the Sierra Community Theatre.

Henning adds that the movie theater’s lower level is hosting the Jefferson High School Class of 1969 on Friday night, the Class of 2004 on Saturday night and the festival’s trivia contest at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
