A reminder that tonight is the final performance of this year’s fall play at Greene County High School.

“Santa Zombie Apocalypse” is the story of zombies invading Santa’s Toyshop and it is up to two reindeer to stop them and rescue Santa. High School Sophomore Lucy Vander Linden plays one of the lead roles as a reindeer named Artie, and she talks about why she wanted to be in the play.

“I really like acting and normally I like musicals more but I think this play was really fun. The people in it are really super fun to hang out with. It’s been a ride to get all these lines because a lot of it is conversation with each other and some of the details, you might miss them, but if you just listen hard enough, you won’t miss a thing.”

Sophomore Ella Ostrander also plays another lead role as a reindeer named Tipton, and she explains what she’s enjoyed the most about doing this play.

“Probably just being on the stage. This year in the play we get to do so much like you know fun. We get to goof off, kind of play around with each other, it’s really cool, and we just got to make our scenes really fun and energetic, and just super playful. It’s just so much fun.”

Tonight’s final performance is at 7pm at the high school auditorium. Tickets are $3 for students and $12 for adults and purchasing tickets this time is going to be cashless.
