ADMThe ADM softball team was shut out again last night by another top-ranked foe.  Class 4A number one Dallas Center-Grimes beat the Tigers 7-0 in Adel.

Ace Paige Lowary, a University of Missouri recruit, was as good as advertised in the pitcher’s circle for the Mustangs, as she no-hit the Tigers and struck out 16.  ADM had only three runners reach base against Lowary.

Molly Jacobsen threw all seven innings for the Tigers in their loss.  She allowed seven runs on seven hits though did strike out 10.

After dropping two straight against top teams, ADM must regroup and be ready for a long weekend ahead.  The Tigers, now 5-7 on the year, are scheduled to play four games in their home invitational today and tomorrow.

Their opponents over the weekend will be Colfax-Mingo, Van Meter, Sargeant Bluff-Luton and Roland Story.
