With students home from school during winter break, the Adel Library has a couple of activities to keep youth engaged and out of the house.

Patron Services Manager Amy Puck says they are hosting Family Bingo tomorrow from 10-11am at the library. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio this free program also includes snacks for families and prizes for bingo winners.

The other free winter break activity is on Thursday also from 10-11am with the “Makerspace Pop-up: Buttons.” Puck notes all of the materials will be provided for free and kids can make safety-pin buttons.

“We’re talking about making those types of buttons, the ones that the kids love to put all over their backpacks and their coats, as well as parents being able to wear on their coats, also.”

Both programs do not require registration as walk-ins are welcomed and for the Thursday activity, it will be while supplies last.
