With the second semester underway, Panorama Secondary Principal Thad Stanley is excited to see what the students do during the remainder of the year. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio about one of a few unique opportunities students of the district have.

“Academically, we team up with DMACC (Des Moines Area Community College). The opportunities provided from DMACC to our high school is unbelievable. I mean, we have some kids that are graduating almost with an associate’s degree. But several, I’m going to say 70%, by the time they graduate have taken a college class through DMACC and Panorama, which the school pays for.”

Stanley mentions that another unique opportunity for students is the ability to participate on the trap shooting team. Panorama is one of a few schools in the region with a school sanctioned team, and Stanley adds that they have been doing fairly well in competitions since they began the program.
