The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Education Association made a proposal to level teacher pay in their negotiation package to the school board.

The ADM School District held their Opening Proposal Exchange for Negotiations yesterday as the school board listened to suggestions from the Education Association. The association requested the school board to increase teacher compensation based on performance. The association stressed that ADM’s school district is large with approximately 2,000 students and teachers should be given a comparable salary. They want to be able to recruit and retain high quality teachers. 

The school board took a five minute break to discuss the information presented to them before reconvening to offer a three percent package of compensation. The school board emphasized that the budget fits within their financial goals.
