“This is for adults 60 and older, and it’s going to be a three part series. We’re going to meet on Thursdays, starting on the 14th. We’re going to have lunch at noon for those that want to attend that part of it, and then we’ll have a speaker from 1-2(pm). On March 14th, our lesson is going to be called ‘Thriving in Place,’ where people are going to be talking about identifying their priorities as they age, assessing their current environment, and explore home modifications to help aging in place be safe and comfortable.”

Majerus adds that on March 21st the topic will be “Planning Ahead for Future Care,” which will go over making decision s on future care based on an individual’s wishes, and that on March 28th, the topic will be “Spot, Stop, Avoid Fraud,” which will cover ways for individuals to protect themselves from becoming a victim of fraud and scams. It is asked that interested individuals register beforehand, and that can be done by calling the Stuart Public Library at 515-523-2152.
