Tomorrow sees the 34th Annual West Central Iowa Farm Toy Show occur once again.

Organizer Roger Richter says that when the show started, it was originally a fundraiser for Adair Fire and Rescue to help raise funds for a new ambulance, but it has become something more fun that the community really gets behind since then. He mentions that this year there are about 22 vendors that will be at the Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center (AC/GC) Junior High School Gymnasium, with the majority coming from outside the community from places like Papillion and Sterling, Nebraska, and St Joe, Missouri.

Richter adds that the majority of items brought to the show are farm toys of John Deere and Case IH equipment, but that they also see some old farm literature, a few crafts, and even some custom toys. He says that a special part of this year’s show is that a vendor will be bringing a display that was featured at the 2023 National Toy Show that was held in Dyersville.

Vendors will be able to set up from 7-9am, with the show itself taking place from 9am to 3pm. Admission is $3, with children 12 years old and under able to get in free with an adult. The AC/GC senior class will also be serving lunch to raise funds for their senior trip, with the menu to include sloppy joes, walking tacos, hot dogs, pies, dessert bars, cookies and chips. All proceeds from the Farm Toy Show go back to Adair Fire and Rescue.
