Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School will be holding its prom on Saturday, as the committee makes final arrangements this week.

ADM Prom Committee Member Noelle McDonald says that the Grand March will begin at 4:30pm at the high school, then travel to the Decades Event Center in Des Moines for the dance, taking place from 8-10:30pm, before the students return to the high school for the After-Prom activities going on from 11:30pm-4:30am. 

The theme for prom is “Under the Stars” and Junior Calli Seehase explains how it was decided on.

 “As a prom committee, we switch on and off from fancy themes one year and then the next year is more casual fun theme. And this year was our fancy theme, and we like the idea of midnight vibe, so it’s kind of like golden stars and navy blue background and stuff, so we’re going with that type of vibe.”

Committee member Mackenzie Evans details that some of the events at After-Prom includes a glow foam party, casino games, axe throwing, video games, music bingo, inflatables, a hypnotist and breakfast courtesy of Adel Fire Department from 4-5am Sunday morning.
