The Adel Public Library will be holding its summer reading program at the end of next week.
Adel Library Patron Services Manager Amy Pucks notes that the kickoff to the festivities is taking place this coming Friday. The event is free and is happening from 9-11am at the Community Stage and Pavillion on the corner of 10th Street and Main Street. Puck claims that the event is well attended and reports on the amount of people that came in 2023.
“Last year, we had well over 300 people show up to the event, and since this is a free event and right at the heart of Adel, it’s just a fun activity for everyone to participate in.”
Puck details that activities during the kickoff event include a bounce house, butterfly tents, balloon twisting, in addition to other community volunteer activities.
