The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Volleyball team officially begins postseason tonight as they battle a familiar conference opponent in Winterset.

The Tigers are hosting the Huskies for the Class 4A Region 7 Semifinal game in Adel. ADM just beat Winterset to end the regular season last Thursday, October 17th in three sets (25-19, 25-19, 25-21). The Tigers won the Raccoon River Conference this year, posting an 18-7 overall record (8-0 RRC) while the Huskies sit 18-15 overall (4-5 RRC). ADM has a narrow lead in historical series (10-9-1) winning the last two matches. Tigers Head Coach Trevor Irwin credits the coaching within the RRC.

“I’m really happy to be apart of it, and obviously every single coach and every single program wants volleyball to develop more as a prominent sport, and I hope that we can have a good start and a good foot in the door when it comes to the Raccoon River Conference by providing those head to head matchups that provide some good entertainment as well.”

Coming into tonight’s game, ADM Junior Elise Coghlan has 495 assists on the season, Senior Addison Herrick has recorded 38 blocks, and Senior Madi James has accumulated 201 digs. The game is set to tip off at 7pm inside the North Gym at ADM High School in Adel. To purchase tickets, click here.
