The Greene County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

At the meeting the board heard from Chris Wilbeck who presented information about the number of confined hog feeding operations that must file manure management plans in the county.

They then reviewed the master matrix scoring for Prestage Farm’s proposed hog confinement in Washington Township.  Preliminary scoring for the site is 485 points.  Supervisor John Muir asked Prestage to consider that there might be a better location than the proposed site that is approximately one mile southwest of Rippey.  A public hearing is scheduled for next Monday’s meeting.

The Supervisors also spoke with Terry Johnson with Genesis Development and County Point of Coordination director Diane Jackson about the county’s mental health services.  The three year contact was approved unanimously. Finally, the board approved overnight travel requests for county attorney Nicola Martino and  Diane Jackson.
