The West Central Valley Wildcats released students for the holiday break on Friday resulting in winter sports having their last practice of the 2024 year last night. Most Wildcat winter sports team will resume practices on Friday according to Wildcat Activities Director Jim Lindsay.

The Wildcat girls wrestling team is back in action first, as they travel to Clarinda High School on Saturday, January 4th for the Clarinda Girls Wrestling Tournament beginning at 10am. The Wildcat basketball teams return to action on Monday the 6th, for double header basketball action at Coon-Rapids Bayard High School to take on the Crusaders. The girls begin double header basketball action first with tip off set for 6pm.

Wildcat sports are out of action for the next few days as the Wildcats take time to celebrate the holidays with their families and loved ones. Wildcat sports resumes practices on Friday for most winter teams.
