The Dallas Center-Grimes Mustang girls basketball team has had an incredible start to their season, ending 2024 at 7-2 so far this season only falling to North Polk 69-48 and the #1 team in the state the Bishop Heelan Crusaders 61-56 on Saturday to wrap up 2024.
Head coach Adam Jones mentioned how injuries have been one of the disadvantages for the Mustangs this season, as Miller has been out for a majority of the season due to a leg injury, and leading scorer Macy Meyer has been out for an entire week due to an illness. Coach Miller said, “well our girls definitely deserve a break its been kind of a busy last couple of weeks and hopefully the break will let us get a little more healthy. I think it’ll be good for us to have a little break.”
The Mustang girls are out of action for the holiday break until Friday, when they begin practices again.
