Two AC/GC Chargers boys basketball players were recently named as members of the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association Academic All State Team for 2025.

Head Coach Lance Kading says that there are only 22 athletes nominated across all classes for the team each year, with high academic standards that need to be met. Jathan South and Noah Kading will both be honored with this distinction during halftime of the Class 1A State Championship game on March 14th. According to Coach Kading, both players have a 3.88 Cumulative Grade Point Average and a composite score of 29 on the ACT.
