The West Central Valley School Board met in regular session Wednesday night.

Superintendent Rusty Shockley says that the meeting went well, with only a few regulatory items to cover. He mentions that they reviewed a Board policy on the district’s long range needs assessment, discussed funding options for the different building projects they are looking at doing, and approved SitelogiQ’s building plan for the proposed auditorium project. Shockley adds that the Board also discussed Swap Transferring Risk with Participating Element (STRIPE) funding payment options, approved creating an Athletic Director/Dean of Students position, that would not be allowed to coach in the school district to be able to focus on the AD duties. The Board then entered three different closed sessions to discuss the possible expulsion of three different students, followed by approving the discipline agreement with all three students after each closed session.
